R&D Circuits Selects Schmoll, a Burkle North America Alliance Partner

Dave Howard, Vice President and Business Unit Manager for Bürkle North America’s FabFour Group, announced today that R&D Circuits of South Plainfield, New Jersey has placed an order for a very advanced high speed drilling system from Schmoll Maschinen (Germany).

The model MX-1 DH CCD is a single station system equipped with high speed linear motors in the X,Y and Z axis.  This particular model is also configured with two active spindles one being a 250k high speed, high torque, synchronous drilling spindle and the other being a very robust 60k routing spindle. Mr. Jim Russell, President of R&D Circuits commented; “This purchase was driven by some specific performance requirements that we believe the Schmoll MX-1 can offer.” Dave Howard commented, R&D Circuits is exactly the type of company that we like to work with. This was a good collaborative effort between R&D, Burkle/Schmoll and our national sales partner Tapco Circuit Supply.  In addition to sales support Tapco is also a supplier of advanced cutting tools required for this advanced work.

The Schmoll MX-1 with dual spindles, CCD technology for inner-layer registration and an inventory of 2600 tools on board is fast becoming the standard for capability and flexibility.

Schmoll, located near Frankfurt, Germany is part of Bürkle’s FabFour Machinery Alliance consisting of Bürkle Lamination and Coating Systems, Posalux high volume drilling and routing systems, Bacher Registration and Exposure Systems and LHMT Scoring and Beveling equipment.
